Retreat, Yourself ("we," "us") runs free library writing crawls and this website. We collect as little information as we can get away with, and here's what we do with it.

What we collect. When you join our mailing list or contact us, we collect your name and email address. When you register for a crawl, your registration (name, email, and answers to any registration questions) is collected through Luma, our event platform. Like most websites, this site also gathers basic, anonymous analytics — things like page visits and general location — through our website provider, Squarespace.

How we use it. We use your email to send you crawl announcements and our newsletter — no more than a few emails a month. We use registration information to plan events and send you event reminders. That's it.

What we never do. We never sell your information, rent it, or share it with third parties for their marketing. Your email is used by us to tell you about Retreat, Yourself, and for nothing else.

Who else touches your data. This site is built on Squarespace and our events run on Luma; both process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies (Squarespace's and Luma's). We use their standard tools only.

Cookies. Squarespace uses cookies for site functionality and the anonymous analytics described above. You can limit cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.

Your choices. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works immediately. You can also ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you — email us and we'll take care of it.

Children. Our events and mailing list are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes. If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
